Nashville Musicians Union, TV Show Near Deal

NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The head of the Nashville chapter of the musicians union has told the Tennessean that he expects to reach an agreement this week with the makers of an upcoming reality TV show regarding payment of union musicians.

Harold Bradley, president of the Nashville Association of Musicians, said he will let union musicians be filmed and recorded by Go Go Lucky Productions, the makers of the upcoming country music reality show, Nashville.

Bradley said he’s allowing the union musicians to appear as an act of good faith.

Last week, union leadership would not allow the musicians to be filmed at a 12th and Porter concert because no deal had been signed to establish payment, which violates the union contracts.

“We have had some real negotiating this all week,” Bradley told the paper. “We are close. I think we’ll have an agreement by the end of the day Monday. We have agreed to let the musicians be filmed this weekend.

“If we get an agreement, we’ll be just fine, and I feel strongly that we will.”
