CHULA VISTA, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — This fall’s Street Scene, formerly hailed for its diverse line-up and dedication to downtown San Diego, will be held at the much smaller Coors Amphitheater in Chula Vista.
The once-wildly popular festival, that featured music, eating and drinking in the downtown area for two decades, was moved to the new venue because of slow ticket sales prompted by a lack of top-level bands, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
The 23 year old festival outgrew its welcome in the increasingly-gentrified Gaslamp Quarter and adjacent streets. Live Nation has taken over production duties for the festival, and said the “more-intimate setting of Coors Amphitheatre” will ensure “continued vitality” for the event. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
