LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Kenny Chesney is set for 4 dates at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, first on May 14th & 15th and then July 2nd and 3rd.
Chesney's last visit to The Joint was back in April 2009, when he, along with Paul McCartney and The Killers, performed at the venue's opening weekend. Chesney played a variety of his own songs, but also ventured off the beaten track with covers from a variety of artists ranging U2 and Steve Miller to Van Halen during a three-hour set so if you make the scene, be ready for anything.
The 4 dates at The Joint will comprise 30% of Chesney's total scheduled 2010 performances and likely the most intimate, as the state-of-the-art theatre only accommodates about 4,000 patrons instead of the 60,000 capacity stadium shows Chesney usually habituates.
"That's what's so great about a gig where the capacity is 4,000, especially at The Joint," Chesney said. "It's the best of both worlds: you get the energy of a club, but it's still enough of a stage that you have got room to run around and have fun. Because when we do these smaller, less structured shows, we like to let loose without tripping over each other or getting tangled in someone's chord."
The shows are produced by AEG Live & The Messina Group. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
