BOSTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — New York-based Bowery Presents has signed a deal with a Boston nightclub, to promote live music events at the venue, effectively allowing Bowery Presents to expand into the market.
Bowery signed with the nightclub Royale, (located on the site that was formerly the home of Roxy) to promote 100 shows a year at the venue.
The club is co-owned by former Avalaon DJ/programmer Dave Ralph who has said he hopes to recreate the Avalon's business model of live music and DJ/dance events. The club won't open until March 13 but already has some dates on its calendar filled, including 2 dates in May with Public Image Ltd. and a scheduled DJ gig with Pauly D from the "Jersey Shore" reality show.
Ralph told the Boston Globe that the club will be locally staffed by the Bowery Group. "It’s really good for music in Boston," Ralph said. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
