Artists Recruited For New Gap Commercials

If you haven't caught any yet, the Gap is employing music artists in its new commercials which began airing Nov 18. Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Seal and other artists can be seen singing renditions of Supertramp's '70s tune "Give A Little Bit."

To secure the rights to the Supertramp song, Gap agreed to contribute with the group $100,000 to a New York City firefighters' charitable fund. In its recruitment of talent for the commercials, the retailer also agreed to make donations totaling about $100,000 to the charity of each artist's choice in addition to the fees paid to the artists.
