Welcome Back Contemporary Productions

Steve Schankman has reclaimed the Contemporary Productions name and is back in business. The veteran promoter and former Clear Channel Entertainment executive was a co-owner of Contemporary Productions with Irv Zuckerman before it was bought by SFX Entertainment, now Clear Channel Entertainment. Schankman left CCE last December.

With no non-compete clause, Contemporary is producing the Dec 2 Jay Leno concert for the 100th anniversary gala of The Jewish Federation; Peter Duchin's Orchestra for the Science Center Dec 8; and Bernadette Peters' concert for the Variety Club on April 20. He is also booking Fair St. Louis.
