Anderson New President/COO Of CCE's Theatrics In NA

David Anderson will assume the position of president and chief operating officer of Clear Channel Entertainment’s theatrical organization in North America. Anderson has worked with Miles Wilkin, CCE's Chief Operating Officer, and Scott Zeiger, CCE's Chief Executive Officer, for two decades managing and developing their company’s varied real estate holdings. “David Anderson’s deep knowledge of our industry combined with a genuine theater business savvy make him the ideal candidate to continue to grow our great business,” said Zeiger.

Filling Anderson’s position as president of North American Theatrical Real Estate is Dominic Roncace. “Dominic has tremendous experience and an unparalleled reputation in venue development and operations, most recently serving our company as COO of our Music group,” said Wilkin.

Anderson was previously the general manager of the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC, the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, TX, and the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL. In 1988, he relocated to Houston, TX to become president of a new company, Theatre Management Group, Inc (TMG), with principals Allen Becker, chairman and founder of Pace Entertainment, and Barry Lewis, a prominent Houston real estate investor. As president of TMG, he oversaw the restoration and renovation of the Majestic and Empire Theatres in San Antonio, TX, the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC, the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, LA, and the acquisition of the Palace Theatre in Louisville, KY. In October 2000, TMG was acquired by SFX Entertainment, which has subsequently been acquired by Clear Channel Worldwide. Anderson oversaw the operations of all theatrical venues under management and/or consulting agreements with Clear Channel Entertainment. In addition, he was the Clear Channel executive-in-charge of the recent redevelopment of the Boston Opera House and the Baltimore France-Merrick Performing Arts Center.

Roncace is an 18-year veteran of the concert promotion industry. Prior to his most recent role as COO of Music, he was executive vice president of Operations for the Northeast Region of SFX Entertainment. He came to SFX Entertainment in the PACE Entertainment acquisition by SFX. At PACE he was the executive director and lead development executive for the $56,000,000 Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ and the PNC Bank Arts Center in the metro NJ/NY market. Prior to his role at PACE Entertainment, he was director of Operations & Development with Blockbuster Entertainment’s amphitheater division before it was acquired by PACE Entertainment. He was a key member of the executive team that developed and managed the Blockbuster Glen Helen Pavilion outside of Los Angeles.

Roncace started his concert promotion and venue development career in 1987 with Zev Buffman Sports, Entertainment and Facility Development Corporation. His first position there was administrative assistant to the chief operating officer. He worked with the COO to develop and operate two new major amphitheaters in Phoenix, AZ and Charlotte, NC before the company was acquired by Blockbuster Entertainment. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
