NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Primary Wave has inked a new joint venture deal with highly-respected music publishing executive Juan Madrid and his company Cruz Control Music.
Madrid, who has nearly two decades of music publishing experience, has signed the likes of Lex Luger, T-Minus and Chief Keef collaborator Young Chop as well as artists The Game, Rick Ross (who he has also managed), Flo-Rida, Waka Flocka, Meek Mill, Wiz Khalifa and more.
After serving as Senior VP of Urban A&R at Warner Chappell, Madrid left the company in 2016 to form Cruz Control Music. He has since signed AYO, who produced Kyle’s chart-topping record “ISpy,” as well as songwriter Raquelle Dolore whose most recent success includes a co-writing credit on 2Chainz & Arianna Grande’s “Rule The World.”
Madrid also serves as a Consulting Producer for MGM and Viacom for the show Signed, which first aired on VH1 in 2017. The show is currently in pre-production for Season 2.

The first signing to the new joint venture is Miami rapper, Ball Greezy, who has multiple hit records under his belt, including Drake’s global hit “In My Feelings” and as a featured artist on Lil Duval’s hit single “Smile Bitch.” Also signed to the JV is Canadian artist 12AM, whose single “Couple Pills” recently clocked over 1 million streams.
