SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) Organizers for San Francisco festival Outside Lands announced last month that it is dedicating an area of the festival, which takes place at Golden Gate Park later this month, “Grass Lands,” where visitors can learn more about marijuana.
The July 24 announcement is an effort for organizers to “cash in” on the growing interest in legalized recreational cannabis, according to KGO News.
At the “greenhouse,” visitors can talk to “budtenders about cannabis and, at “The Confectionary (sic),” a range of “sweet” treats will be on display. The “Lemonade Stand” will have infused lemonade, and the “Flower Shop” will have wearable wee flower crowns, according to KGO.
There will also be a cannabis-themed Farmer’s Market and a featured delivery service.
The festival, curated by Another Planet Entertainment as well as Coran Capshaw’s Starr Hill and Superfly (aka one-half of the promoters behind Bonnaroo), is expected to take place Aug. 10-12 and feature acts like The Weeknd, Florence + The Machine, and Janet Jackson
