NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — "Weird Al" Yankovic, famed for his song paradies, has been tapped as the new bandleader and co-host for IFC's Comedy Bang! Bang!
The show, now in its 5th season, is a spin-off of Scott Aukerman's podcast of the same name and riffs on late night talk shows with a comedic take on the industry's tropes.
Yankovic will fill in for Kid Cudi and Reggie Watts, who are exiting the show.
“If you would have told me, when I was a teenager, listening and laughing along to Al’s In 3-D album, that one day I would partner up with him, I would have asked who you were and how you got in my room. Then I would have politely shown you the door. Because that’s how I was raised,” Aukerman said. – Staff Writers
