Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham, Star Of New Comedy Central Show

WASHINGTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Jeff Dunham, creator of such infamous characters as Achmed the Dead Terrorist, will appear at the National Press Club on Oct. 13, 2009 to preview his new series on Comedy Central.

The star of "The Jeff Dunham Show," which debuts on Thursday, October 22, became an Internet sensation with a politically incorrect clip from his 2007 DVD Spark of Insanity in which Achmed discussed suicide bombings and uttered his signature line, "Silence! I kill you!" Viewed 90 million times, it is one of most-watched clips on YouTube. In his new show, which places Dunham's wooden characters in real world scenarios, Achmed will try to sign up new recruits at an actual job fair.

According to the concert industry Dunham is the top-grossing stand-up act in North America. He has sold more than four million DVDs and thanks to YouTube is one of the most-viewed entertainers of all time.
