The Groove Debuts In Santa Monica On October 2-3

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Southern California's newest music event, The Groove, will be held on the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA on October 2-3 from 11 AM-8 PM. The musical showcase of blues, jazz, funk and R&B will have performances by Jim Belushi & The Sacred Hearts, Vonda Shepard, Francine Reed, Les Nubians, Ledisi with Anibade, Rosalia de Souza, Mamasutra and others.

Tickets are priced at $50 a day in advance, $60 at the gate and can be purchased online at catchthegroove.org. Children under 12 enter free. Dedicated to the growth of Los Angeles' children as well as music and arts in southern California, The Groove will be donating 15% of gross revenues to various local charities. In addition, The Groove will be hosting a series of mixers during the summer with proceeds to benefit various charities including Olive Crest House, American Baby Cancer Foundation, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Inside Out Community Arts. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
