SoundCloud Hires Pandora Exec To Open New York City Office

NEW YORK (Hypebot) – SoundCloud has hired Dan Gerber, previously the National Director of Strategic Partnerships at Pandora, to head brand revenues. Gerber will start in June, and SoundCloud will open its first ever New York City office later this summer.

The expansion follows SoundCloud's Pro Partner announcement in March. "We realized that in order to best serve this community, we had to bring on a professional with the experience to continue to develop partnerships and to strengthen and ignite relationships," the company said in a statement.

At Pandora, Gerber was responsible for connecting brands with digital, mobile, audio and live event strategies. He was also instrumental in developing partnerships with Pepsi, Unilever, Starbucks, P&G and American Express. Most recently, Gerber led the Grammys/Pandora Partnership with Pepsi, as well as, Chase's integration in Pandora's Summer-Themed Genre Stations.
