SFX is looking increase its number of concerts at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in the future by adding May and September to the concert calendar and booking more concerts in June because the ballet and orchestra occupy popular July dates, limiting the number of acts SFX would like to bring in.
"The summer doesn't have to wait until July to start in Saratoga Springs," John Huff, executive director of SFX Music Saratoga told the Capital District Business Review.
Huff admits SFX is still learning what works in Saratoga Springs, and one thing that didn't was last year's unpopular rule banning blankets from concerts.
"In this community we will never again say the words 'no' and 'blankets' in the same sentence. In fact, I'd like to encourage you to bring two blankets in case someone forgot theirs."
SFX expects 23 concerts this year.
