Senior Industry Executive Appointed To Key Operations Role With AEG Ogden


SYDNEY, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Well credentialed venue management executive, Steve Hevern has been appointed Manager, Technical Operations – Asia with AEG Ogden.

This appointment was announced today by the Chairman and CEO of AEG Ogden, Harvey Lister.

Mr. Lister said the role would encompass the provision of technical operations advice and support to the new arena projects being developed by AEG Ogden, principally in the Asia region, but also in Australia and New Zealand.

He said Mr. Hevern would, both prior to and during the design phase of projects, provide important operator advice and technical operations support and oversee the implementation of operating teams in the venues.

“Mr. Hevern has had a successful career in the venue management industry and brings a wealth of experience to AEG Ogden.

“He spent 10 years at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in technical operations management roles, followed by more than four years at Sydney SuperDome (now Acer Arena, an AEG Ogden operated venue) during its establishment and the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

“He was then Deputy CEO of Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand where he oversaw the venue’s completion and operational phases, and more recently was the Group Director of Operations and Special Projects for Arena Management for the past two years.

“Mr. Hevern brings to AEG Ogden impressive technical operations skills that will be invaluable in the development and start-up operations of our new venues in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. He will work closely with our Group Director – Arenas, Tim Worton and Group Manager – Assets and Developments, John Kleindienst, in creating an immensely skilled technical operations team.

Mr. Lister said announcements regarding new venue projects to be managed by AEG Ogden in the Asia Pacific region were imminent.
