LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rock legend Prince has reportedly requested the most-diva of demands for his 21-night residency at London’s O2 Arena, asking for a 5-bedroom house to be built within the grounds of the AEG-operated venue.
The Daily Mail reports that the Purple One is in negotiations to have a luxury home constructed adjacent to the massive facility, with AEG footing the bill.
He intends for the house to be his base for all future London visits.
“Princes people approached us with the idea a few months ago,” an anonymous property source told the paper.
“He has had some pretty wild nights out in London and loves all that the capital has to offer, so it makes sense for him to have a more permanent base here.
“And with the Docklands increasingly becoming a trendy area to live, he obviously wants to capitalise on this.
“Plus, with more and more gigs and events being held at the O2, he will always be just a stone’s throw from the action.”
The prefabricated house will reportedly be built on an unoccupied lot at the Dome site, and will be the only one in the area.
“Yes, it is a bit extravagant, but then again this is Prince we’re talking about,” the source said.
Currently, Prince is staying in a £2,100-a-night Presidential suite, complete with fully- stocked bar, secret lift entrance and a king-size, walnut leather-finish bed at a nearby five-star hotel. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
