Pitbull Uses His Private Plan To Fly Cancer Patients From Hurricane Stricken Puerto Rico

MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Pitbull dispatched his private plane to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico to provide transportation to ailing cancer patients to the mainland.

Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico early Wednesday as a category four hurricane and left at least 24 dead and significant damage in its wake, disrupting the island's power and water infrastructure and leaving many of the Islands hospitals with limited electricity.

At least two deaths in an intensive care unit have been reported at a hospital in San Juan after it ran out of diesel to power its generators, according to CNN.

While Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez has not been public about his humanitarian mission, he told CNN through a spokesperson "Thank God we're blessed to help. Just doing my part."
