No Farewell Album For Black Sabbath

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has revealed that the previously announced farewell album from the band is not going to happen.

Osbourne revealed the news in a recent interview with Billboard's Gary Graff. When Graff inquired about the album, Osbourne said:

"No, no. We were gonna do one before the tour, but it would take three or four years to write and record an album, by which time I'll be fucking 73 or 72 or something, so we decided just to do a farewell tour. Plus, after the last one [2013's 13, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200], if we did an album and it went to No. 2, people would go, 'It's over,' right?"

During the interview, Osbourne also discussed his return to solo perfoming, including his Halloween performance at Voodoo Music in New Orleans and his upcoming gig at OZZFest Japan on Nov. 22.
