Italian recorded music market up 25%

ROME, Italy (VIP NEWS) — The Italian recorded music market increased by 25% to €93.9 million in the first nine months of 2015, according to figures released by Deloitte.

Thanks to a strong growth physical sales of local repertoire (+79%), the overall physical market increased by 23% to €50.7m.

Matching growth in other territories, vinyl album sales were up by 74% to reach an all-time high. The format now accounts for 4% of the market (€3.6 million).

Revenue from digital channels was also up by 27% to €43.2m and now accounts for the 46% of the market.
