Mohegan Sun Arena Posts A Strong Year In 2015

UNCASVILLE, CT (CelebrityAccess) — The Mohegan Sun Arena notched up another strong year, touting an impressive record of national tours and national awards in 2015.

The year saw the arena win the Arena of the Year award from IEBA (International Entertainment Buyers Association), marking the 7th time the venue has won the accolade in the last 9 years. The arena was also ranked #3 in the world for its size by Billboard & Venues Today and #1 for its social media presence.

2015 was also the year that the Mohegan Sun Arena welcomed its ten-millionth guest in November, when James Gloshinski of Worcester, Mass., and Jillian Daley of Quincy, Mass. were surprised with the award, which included upgraded floor seats and, backstage passes for the show they were attending, as well as a future stay at the resort with complimentary premium dinner reservations, limousine transportation and two tickets to an upcoming show.

The Mohegan Sun Arena also hosted an impressive array of artists in 2015, including Ed Sheeran, Charlie Wilson, Ariana Grande, Little Big Town, Shawn Mendes, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Florida-Georgia Line and numerous others.
