Madison Square Garden's Comedy Garden

Radio City Entertainment has established The Comedy Garden, three venues within the Madison Square Garden complex: The Theater at Madison Square Garden (5,500 capacity), The Comedy Garden Forum (450 capacity) and Play By Play (150 capacity).

The Comedy Garden Forum has been specifically designed as a flexible comedy club space within the Theater at Madison Square Garden. It debuts Sept. 14-15 with Joe Rogan/Bobby Slayton.

The various range of spaces is meant to enable producers and comedians to design shows specific to the size of the venue, allowing for flexibility not always available in a conventional setting under one roof.

Some of the comedians booked are Jerry Lewis, Steve Harvey/J. Anthony Brown and La Mega's "El Vacilion Live" at The Theater at MSG and Joe Rogan/Bobby Slayton, Richard Lewis/Jeff Ross, Joan Rivers, Brett Butler, and David Brenner at The Comedy Forum.

An advisory board, known as The Faculty, has also been established with comedians Billy Crystal, Robert Klein, Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo, Whoopi Goldberg, Jim Breuer, Harvey Fierstein along with Nora Ephron (writer/director), Chris Albrecht (HBO), Bernie Brillstein (Brillstein Grey Entertainment), George Schlatter (George Schlatter Productions), Conan Smith (William Morris Agency), David Steinberg (Morra, Brezner, Steinberg & Tannenbaum) and Rory Rosegarten (manager/producer).
