Kesha Denied Temporary Injunction Against Sony

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Singer Kesha broke down in tears in a Manhattan court room on Friday after a judge denied her request for an injunction that would have temporarily released her from her contractual obligations with Sony Records, the New York Post reported.

Kesha had claimed she was unable to continue working with producer Dr. Luke (AKA Luke Gottwald) who holds her exclusive contract, and that Sony Music has refused to promote her albums if she works with a different producer.

However, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich said that Sony was likely to suffer irreparable harm if Kesha was not compelled to abide by a contract that requires her to make six more albums with the company.

The 28-year-old Kesha had previously claimed that Gottwald drugged and raped her shortly after her 18th birthday. Gottwald has not been charged in connection with the accusations. – Staff Writers
