The Academy is designed for those in public assembly facility management

IAAM is partnering with Dr. Gil Fried of the University of New Haven in developing the curriculum for the Academy. The program is a cooperative venture by IAAM and the Department of Homeland Security.

Serving on the academy curriculum advisory committee are Kevin Hallinan of Major League Baseball; Milt Ahlerich of the National Football League.
Mount Allen, New Jersey Performing Arts Center; David Bevans, San Jose McEnery Convention Center; Greg Davis, The Cajundome; Jay Green, Phoenix Civic Plaza; Patrick Leahy, Clear Channel Entertainment; Cory Meredith, Staff Pro, Inc.; Larry Perkins, RBC Center; and Joe Psuik, San Diego Convention Center Corporation.
