Henley: The Eagles Probably Won't Perform Again

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Eagles co-founder Don Henley says the days of the Eagles have likely come to a close following the recent death of fellow co-founding bandmember Glenn Frey.

Henley, Joe Walsh and Jackson Brown all joined together to pay tribute to Frey during the Grammy Awards on Feb. 15, peforming the band's hit "Take It Easy." Henley subsequently said in an interview that the performance would likely serve as the band's "Final Farewell."

In the interview with BBC Radio 2's Simon Mayo, Henley described the performance as "very difficult and very emotional," stating "we almost didn't do it".

"I think it was an appropriate farewell. I don't think you'll see us performing again," Henley added.

Henley also revealed that the last year, before Frey fell ill, the band was considering a 40th anniversary tour for their seminal album "Hotel California."

The band's most recent outing "The History Of the Eagles" world tour (2013-2015) grossed more than $145 million, according to the band's manager Irving Azoff. – Staff Writers
