Florida Promoter Honored

Florida Governor Jeb Bush and his Cabinet have proclaimed April 3 Judy Drucker Day in recognition of the concert promoter celebrating 35 years promoting the performing arts in South Florida.

As founder and president of the Concert Association of Florida, Drucker has brought some of the biggest performers and prestigious symphonies, ballet and dance troupes to South Florida: Beverly Sills, Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti; Zubin Mehta, the Israel Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Bolshoi Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, the White Oak Project with Mikhail Baryshnikov and the Joffrey Ballet.

As part of the celebration, a special Judy Drucker Roast and Black Tie Dinner Gala will be staged March 23 at the Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne, hosted by Lincoln Center Chair Beverly Sills. In attendance will be some of the world's greatest classical stars, dignitaries and friends.
