CMC Rocks Promoters Consider Adding A Day

TOWNSVILLE, North Queensland (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Australian country music festival CMC Rocks North Queensland may expand into a two-day event next year after a successful outing in 2013.

"The fans have spoken and we are really thinking about taking it out to two days next year and it is on the table, for sure," promoter Rob Potts told Austrlian news source The Weekly Times.

Staged by Rob Potts’ Entertainment Edge, Chugg Entertainment and Foxtel’s Country Music Channel, the one-day festival, which first launched in 2008, drew more than 11,500 fans this year. The lineup for the 2013 edition of the festival featured Alan Jackson, along with Sara Evans, Corb Lund, Jasmine Rae and Morgan Evans among others.

Details have already been released for the 2014 lineup, which features Toby Keith as a headliner, as well as the Eli Young Band, Kellie Pickler, Craig Campbell, Paul Thorn and Love & Theft. Homegrown country stars Lee Kernaghan, Morgan Evans and the Flood

“Toby Keith has been in our sights for years and we’re thrilled to finally bring him Down Under,” Potts said in a press release. “We can’t wait to see him blow the punters away with his twenty years of incredible hits at CMC Rocks the Hunter next March. It’ll be a ripper.” – Staff Writers
