Campana Returns To The Live Nation Fold In Chicago

CHICAGO, IL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation announced today that Midwest Regional President, Mark Campana, will relocate to the company’s downtown Chicago office. Previously Mr. Campana split his time between the company’s Detroit office and Live Nation’s various Midwest offices.

"Our strategy at Live Nation is to focus on the top markets in the U.S., and moving Mark to Chicago demonstrates our commitment to the market," said Jason Garner, Chief Executive Officer, North American Music for Live Nation. "Mark’s contributions to Live Nation have been very valuable as we continue to expand our activities throughout the Midwest and I am pleased that he will now direct our efforts from one of our most important offices in the country."

In Chicago Live Nation owns and/or operates Alpine Valley Music Theatre, First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island and House of Blues and employs nearly 200 full time and 2,000 seasonal employees. Last year alone Live Nation produced more than 300 shows in the city.

A native of Chicago, Mr. Campana attended Illinois State University and graduated with a degree in Theater and Arts Management. After graduation he began his career with the Nederlander organization.

In 1999, Mr. Campana joined SFX Entertainment, and later Clear Channel Entertainment where he served as a Regional Vice President and eventually rose to the position of Chief Marketing Officer. In 2005 Mr. Campana was named Midwest Regional President and assumed responsibility for all of the company’s activities in Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota and the Dakotas.

The 30-year entertainment industry veteran has built venues and produced a huge variety of shows throughout his career. "I am excited to bring my family back to Chicago and continue to grow the Live Nation brand in this great city," said Mr. Campana. "Relocating back to my hometown will enable us to bring the level of focus necessary to ensure that Live Nation continues to bring the world’s best live music to Chicagoans in some of the best music venues in the world."
