Tim McGraw will receive an honorary doctorate May 12 from the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where he was once a student.

For the first time, Luciano Pavarotti will perform at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif. on Oct. 5, 2001. Tickets are priced from $50 to $350 and go on sale May 12.
