AGENCY NEWS: Drake, Tamulevich And Dreifuss Form New Company, Tony Bennett Signs With CAA … And More!


Tim Drake, David Tamulevich and Paul Dreifuss have formed Drake & Associates/Tamulevich Artist Management, affectionately referred to as "DrakeTam." "We have joined together to create a booking agency committed to developing the careers of touring artists and cementing relationships with talent buyers, through partnership and teamwork," says Drake.

David Tamulevich was a long-time partner with boutique agency Fleming, Tamulevich & Associates. He has been instrumental in developing the careers of Ani DiFranco, Martin Sexton, Dar Williams, Greg Brown, Jonatha Brooke, John Gorka, among others.

Tim Drake founded his booking agency, Drake & Associates in 1995. He has helped develop the careers of The Saw Doctors, Richard Shindell and Vance Gilbert, among others. Prior to that, Tim was an independent concert promoter and advertising industry executive.

Paul Dreifuss, the new managing director of the agency, was Operations Director at New Jersey's largest law firm since 1986. He has been personal manager for The Amazing Kreskin, since 1998. He was formerly an agent at Associated Booking Agency and Greater Talent Network in NYC.

Tony Bennett Signs With CAA

Tony Bennett has signed with Creative Artists Agency. Jeff Frasco is the responsible agent. Bennett was previously represented by the William Morris Agency.

David Peterson And 1946 Sign With Deaton Entertainment

Deaton Entertainment has signed David Peterson and 1946 to its roster of bluegrass talent. David Peterson and 1946 are now exclusively represented by Deaton Entertainment and are booking 2003.

Peterson and 1946 signed with Deaton Entertainment to promote band growth and visibility in the bluegrass marketplace as well as to visit new venues and audiences. "Deaton Entertainment is committed to making David Peterson and 1946 one of the forerunners in the retro-traditional band category and pursuing every opportunity to facilitate exposure in the musical genre," said responsible agent John Golden. Rod Stewart has signed with Creative Artists Agency; Carol Kinzel is the responsible agent. Stewart was previously with ICM.
