LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — While Jon Platt doesn’t officially assume his new post at Sony/ATV until April, there already appears to be a shakeup underway at the music publisher.

On Friday, Variety reported that Sony/ATV co-president Rick Krim is headed for the exit.

Krim, who is based in Los Angeles, served as co-president at the publisher since 2015, alongside Danny Strick, who is based in New York. Both Krim and Strick oversaw A&R for the publisher in their respective territories.

Krim previously served under Martin Bandier at EMI Music Publishing, where he led the company’s marketing and promotion department.

As well, Krim has quite a few credits on television but even there, they are largely music related. Krim served as the exec in charge of talent at Big Morning Buzz Live, as well as multiple VH1 properties, including the 2nd Annual VH1 Hip Hop Honors in 2005, and the network’s seminal Unplugged series in the 1990s.

More recently, he served as executive producer of the Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp television series in 2010.

Bandier, who has led Sony/ATV since 2007, was told by Sony that the label giant did not plan to renew his contract this April, making way for Jon Platt, who had previously served as CEO at rival Warner/Chappell.
