FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (CelebrityAccess) — Automaker Nissan has signed on with Live Nation’s Tortuga Music Festival for a major brand activation that will see Nissan unveil a new model of car at the festival.
According to Live Nation, Nissan promises to debut the new, yet-to-be-named vehicle during a special live “performance” on Friday, April 12, the first evening of the three-day festival.
“Nissan is constantly looking for new ways to directly connect with customers. The Tortuga Music Festival gives us a stunning reveal spot for a new 2020 Nissan vehicle with thousands of music fans to help share the moment,” said Claudia Marquez, vice president, sales and vehicle operations, Nissan North America “This important new production model is going to turn heads, both on the beach and on social media.”
While Nissan did not elaborate on what sort of vehicle they will debut at Tortuga, based on the festival’s country music leanings, we’re going to go on record and predict a new model of pickup truck.
In addition to the big reveal, Nissan will also be constructing a branded ‘village’ area where festival-goers can access WiFi, lockers for storage and a VIP style lounge space that is free and open to all.
Live Nation was quick to note that along with serving as a showcase for Nissan’s latest automative innovations, the Tortuga Music Festival was also all about the environment. The festival will focus on “increasing public awareness about the issues impacting the world’s oceans and on supporting scientific research, education, and ocean conservation initiatives,” Live Nation said.
A portion of the proceeds from the festival have been pledged to the Rock the Ocean Foundation.
This year’s Tortuga Music Festival will take place in Ft. Lauderdale from Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14.
