(CelebrityAccess) – Although the world-famous ‘David Bowie Is’ Exhibit has now officially closed following a hugely successful run of 12 international cities over the course of the past six years, fans will soon have the chance to view a VR version of the exhibition when it becomes available for smartphones this fall.
Users will be able to enter a series of audio-visual spaces, explore 3D scans of Bowie’s memorabilia, and even try on some of Ziggy’s most iconic costumes.
The project comes as a result of a partnership between Sony Music Entertainment Inc., the David Bowie Archive, Planeta, and London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the V&A as well as Brooklyn Museum.
