SEATTLE (CelebrityAccess) Shawn Smith, 53, singer of Seattle alt-rock band Brad, died because of complications from diabetes April 5.
Smith was somewhat of a journeyman, performing in Malfunkshun alongside future MOther Love Bone frontman Andrew Wood, then partnering with producer Steve Fisk and Soundgarden’s Kim Thayll to release an album as the group Pigeonhed. He was also a member of the group The Twilight Singers.
Brad released five albums between 1993 and 2012, the most recent being United We Stand. Two of its members also play in Pearl Jam – Stone Gossard and Regan Hagar.
