NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — It turns out James Dolan really doesn’t seem to appreciate business advice from Knicks fans.
In a video captured at recent Knicks game, a fan yells “sell the team” to Dolan and the MSG exec was exiting the building.
The fan’s comment appeared to get under Dolan’s skin and, flanked by security guards, he stopped to respond to the fan, saying “Do you really think I should sell the team?”
He then seemingly threatened to bar the fan from the venue, asking him if he’d prefer “not come to any more games?” The fan asked why, noting that his views were just an opinion.
Dolan countered that the fan had been “rude” and counseled him to enjoy watching future games on television before signaling to security to deal with said fan.
While it was not captured in the video, the TMZ reported that the fan was detained by police and venue security who “questioned” him and requested an ID from the fan before instructing him to leave.
“Our policy is and will continue to be that if you are disrespectful to anyone in our venues, we will ask you not to return,” a Garden spokesperson told the New York Post in a statement.
