(CelebrityAccess) – UTA has announced the signing of iconic multi-platinum group, Bell Biv DeVoe, to a worldwide deal.
A direct byproduct of the hugely successful 1980’s vocal quintet New Edition, BBD has been merging hip-hop beats, new jack swing and R&B harmonies for more than 25 years. selling over 20 million albums worldwide.
The group’s wildly successful debut album Poison sold four million copies and featured four classic hits. In addition to the platinum-selling title track, the album featured “Do Me,” “When Will I See You Smile Again,” and “BBD…I Thought It Was Me.” BBD’s follow-up album, WBBD-Bootcity (A Remix LP), sold over 700K units, while the 1993 album Hootie Mack was certified gold. The group has been nominated for numerous GRAMMYs, American Music Awards, two Soul Train Awards and has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Awards from both Soul Train and BET.
Bell Biv DeVoe will continue to be represented by Six One Seven Management. The group has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.
