(CelebrityAccess) – Some of the UK’s most celebrated musicians have joined together to rail against Brexit and its impact on the music industry in an angry open letter to Prime Minister Theresa May.

The letter, which was drafted by Sir Bob Geldof, urges May to recognize that “a botched Brexit’ will surely wreak havoc upon and seriously damage nearly every aspect of the British music industry from touring and sales to copyright legislation, royalty collation, and beyond. The letter goes on to argue that Britain’s departure from the EU threatens the “vast voice” of the £4.4 billion industry, which in many ways “dominates” the global market.

Other signatories include: Damon Albarn, Jarvis Cocker, Brian Eno, John Eliot Gardiner, Bobby Gillespie, Howard Goodall, Johnny Marr, Nick Mason, Alan McGee, Rita Ora, William Orbit, Simon Rattle, Ed Sheeran, Paul Simon, Neil Tennant, Roger Taylor and Sting.
