ENGLAND (CelebrityAccess) A treasure trove of unused Monty Python sketches has just been unearthed in archives of the troupe’s Michael Palin.

Boxes of material have been discovered, according to The Times, much of it unused sketches for the group’s “Monty Python & The Holy Grail,” the iconic film made by the group 35 years ago.

One of the “gems” is sketch about a Wild West bookshop. Another, for the movie, features an “amorous Pink Knight.” The sketches are expected to go on display to the public along with more than 50 notebooks containing notes pertaining to Python movies “The Holy Grail” and “Life Of Bryan,” according to the Times.

Palin, 75, has given permission for the sketches to be reproduced. He said that the troupe often produced more material than needed.

“Sometimes you have things like that. I can’t think why it wasn’t used,” he said. “’The Holy Grail’ took shape gradually and at the beginning it had far more ideas in it than ended up on screen because you had to have a narrative. In the end the story of the knights was strong enough.”
