SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) — The newly-opened Chase Center has landed nominations for both Project of the Year and Interior and Fit Out Awards in the 2019 edition of the TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Awards.
Facilities eligible for the Project of the Year Award must be a completed new-build or expansion, modernization or major capital enhancement project of an existing venue, while the Interior and Fit Out Award recognizes design work for an interior, hospitality, fan zone, concourse or makeover project at a major sports venue.
The Chase Center, which serves as the home court for the NBA team Golden State Warriors, opened its doors in September. Since then, it has hosted multiple major concerts, including Metallica, Janet Jackson, Elton John, Eric Clapton, John Mayer and Dave Matthews Band.
Additional acts slated to perform at Chase Center in the coming months include the Jonas Brothers, Ariana Grande, The Who, Cher, Celine Dion and Phil Collins. \
Winners of the TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Awards will be announced during TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit in London which is set to take place on November 26 & 27.
