Stefan Enberg Named CEO At WMG’s X5 Music

STOCKHOLM (CelebrityAccess) – X5 Music announced this week that Stefan Enberg has been promoted to CEO. Enberg is currently X5’s COO and one of the company’s original co-founders.

X5 Music, which was founded in 2003 but acquired by Warner Music Group in 2016, specialises in finding a place for artists and genres that typically fall outside the scope of frontline labels within the digital music marketplace. The X5 product portfolio currently contains 400 000 recordings and over 11 000 digital albums.

Commenting on the recent promotion, Enberg said: “I’m proud to work on behalf of a diverse range of artists and songwriters to help give their music global impact with new fans. Today’s always-on streaming culture presents new opportunities to experiment and cater to a variety of musical tastes and attitudes, and I look forward to leading X5 through its next phase.”

He and the team are experts at unearthing gems from the archives and commissioning left-field new music that really connects with people.”

Enberg will remain based in Stockholm and report directly to Ewald.
