NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Sony Music Entertainment has promoted both Monica Cornia and Melissa Thomas to Senior Vice President, International Marketing.

Both based in New York, Cornia will take on the title for RCA Records and Arista Records, while Thomas will work across Columbia Records and Epic Records.

In their new respective roles, Cornia and Thomas will be tasked with developing and executing international marketing campaigns for an array of artists and enhancing the market presence of artists in other countries around the world.

Commenting on the promotion, Cornia said: “I am very grateful to Sony Music for this incredible opportunity. I have been so fortunate to be inspired by the leadership team at RCA daily, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside them.

“I am also tremendously excited to expand my role to partner with Arista, and for the chance to lead the next chapter of this extraordinary team together with Melissa as we continue to develop global artists and create world class campaigns.”

Thomas added: “I am truly thankful to Sony Music for this fantastic opportunity. The passion from the senior leadership teams at Columbia and Epic is an inspiration, and I look forward to continued partnership with them.

Cornia, who began her career at Sanctuary Group before joining RCA Music Group’s International Department in 2005, was most recently Vice President, International Marketing for RCA Records, and has spearheaded global campaigns for the likes of Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, ZAYN and many others.

Thomas, who began her career with Sony Music in London in 2005, was most recently Vice President International for Epic Records, overseeing the global team that broke acts such as Fifth Harmony, Zara Larsson, Meghan Trainor, DJ Khaled, Future, French Montana, Camila Cabello, and Travis Scott, and others.
