LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — The Irish singer-songwriter formerly known as Sinead O’Connor before converting to Islam and changing her name to Shuhada Sadaqat, has signed with ICM partners for North American representation in all areas.

Sadaqat will be represented by a team of agents led by partner/co-head of worldwide concerts Rob Prinz, Mike Hayes, and Brandon Zmigrocki. Sadaqat is managed by brothers Kenneth Papenfus and Carl Papenfus of 67 Management.

For bookings outside of the US and Canada, Sadaqat has signed with International Talent Booking’s (ITB) Senior Agent Steve Zapp.

“We are truly excited and honored to be working with such a talented, unique and groundbreaking artist,” said Prinz. “We cannot wait to see her performing in North America again.”

While performing as Sinead O’Connor, she scored her first hit in 1987 with her debut album on Ensign Records “The Lion and the Cobra” and has since released 9 more solo albums over the course of her career. She is best known for her 1990 cover of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U,” which spent four weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. She secured four Grammy Award nominations for the song and album I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got, including Best Album, Best Song, Best Female Vocalist, and Best Alternative Album while winning the award for Best Alternative Music Performance.

Last August, she released her first new material in four years “Milestones” (as Magda Davitt) co-written with producer David Holmes. As well, she’s teased an upcoming album “No Mud No Lotus” which is due later this year.
