Las Vegas Country Music Festival Canceled Amid Customer Concerns

LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) A Las Vegas country music festival that reportedly was in honor of the victims of the 1 October shooting has been canceled after many of the patrons started growing suspicious.

The 24 Hour Country Music Festival was expected to take place May 10 at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas. However, many on social media had shared concerns that they had not heard anything regarding the lineup, where their money went, or why the festival was ignoring them. Tickets sold for $50 for one-day wristbands and $125 for three-day wristbands.

“You’ve got to be kidding me right? This is not an actual event guys and not a real concert. I bought tickets early on and they promised they would have famous people there. WTH??” one person wrote on the festival’s Facebook page April 17. “I now have tickets for Lady A and Carrie Underwood that weekend. Seriously does anybody want my tickets to this LAME concert.”

Another wrote April 23, “Wow I’ve lived 38 years without fallen for any SCAMS out in our world but it’s clear NOW that I FELL and PAID for this one. Not only losing the $$$ for the “concert” I was hoping would be somewhat good but also on $$$$ for 2 flights to get there from NYC!”

Organizers recently posted a message on the festival’s website that the festival dates had shifted before another post announced its cancellation.

“You will be reading and hearing some news that is being reported without full knowledge of what is really happening at 24 Hours of Country,” the post on 24hoursofcountry.com read. “While this information is being reported we will tell you that the festival has run into several uncontrollable circumstances that have caused us to move our dates (same location). These dates along with other information will be released the first of next week.”

Nebojsa Krkeljas of Prince Cafe Restaurant told KTNV that the cafe hoped to be a food vendor and was willing to send in a check but organizer Sarah Summers asked for $1,600 in cash. When Krkeljas attempted to meet with Summers, he said she disappeared.

13 Action News said it attempted to reach out to Summers on several occasions but the messages were not returned, and “no one was home” at festival headquarters.

After local news reports suggested that the festival had the earmarks of a scam, and said they had “pulled their social media,” the festival, which still has a Facebook page, released a longer statement on its website, canceled the event, noting that it has announced 14 acts for the lineup and never claimed to be a benefit for the 1 October shooting:

With this update 24 Hours of Country will no longer defend itself against the false reports in the news agencies and will no longer grant any statements, interviews or any other type of contact by any news media. Here are the true facts we will release that the news agencies will not.

On February 23rd a Seven band all day concert was held by 24 Hours of Country, less than 100 people showed up for that concert, this concert took a $40,000 dollar loss. All office staff were released after this event.

The May Festival was never advertised as an October 1 Benefit Concert as false reports were made that it was. 24 Hours of Country was going to make a donation to several worthy October 1 Charities! 24 Hours of Country was always promoted as a for profit event!

14+ bands were booked and advertised for the May Festival. Unlike news reports that the fans did not know who was performing.

All park permits and business licenses were in place!

Only 180 total wristband’s were sold for the May Festival. Of these 180 Wristbands 90% of them were sold for UNDER $70.00 unlike the false news reports of starting prices of $125 or in one of their broadcasts 3 figures!

Two months ago all wristband sales were removed from Eventbrite although the event was left on the site for the advertising and One week ago a decision was made to cancel and reschedule the festival and at that point all wristband sales were removed from the 24 Hours of Country Website, unlike a false news report that said wristbands were still being sold!

Sarah Summers Resigned and there is now only one person to handle everything. The May Festival is now cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

24 Hours of Country will start processing refunds the week of April 29, 2019 all refunds will be sent in certified funds to the name and address of the person that made the purchase.
