BOISE, Idaho (CelebrityAccess) — The Knitting Factory in Boise suffered heavy smoke and water damage following a fire that broke out at the concert venue late Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Idaho Statesman,  the blaze burned above the mezzanine, in between the first and second floor. Firefighters had to break windows and rip into walls to get to the fire, leaving a substantial amount of debris in the building.

In the wake of the fire, approximately 60% of the Knitting Factory’s interior was left damaged by smoke and water, fire officials said. However, the building remains structurally sound.

According to KITV, three people were treated for smoke inhalation from the blaze and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A statement from Knitting Factory Presents on Wednesday said:

“First and foremost we would like to thank the Boise Fire Department for their quick and diligent response to yesterday’s fire at Knitting Factory Concert House. They worked tirelessly throughout the night to ensure the safety of our building and those surrounding it. We are truly overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from the community! At this time we are continuing to work with the Boise Fire Department and should have more information in the coming days.”

“This Thursday’s September 13 LIZZO concert has been moved to Revolution Concert House. All tickets will be honored. Tickets are currently available for purchase at the Record Exchange and Ticketweb.com.”

“Thank you for your patience, understanding and support during this challenging time.”

Upcoming shows at the concert hall include The Tumbleweeds, Dusty Leigh & The Claim Jumpers, the Dave Nudo Band and Cliff Miller on Sept. 14; Black Tooth Grin on Sept. 21; Gregory Alan Isakov with the Shook Twins on Sept. 24; and Bob Moses with Battle Lines on Sept. 27.
