Kacey Musgraves Kicks Off RodeoHouston With Selena Cover

HOUSTON (CelebrityAccess) The massive RodeoHouston event in Texas kicked off last night with Kacey Musgraves, who flew in after being a presenter at the Academy Awards in Hollywood, with a set that got NRG Park on its feet with a surprise cover of Selena’s 1992 hit “Como La Flor.”

Suzette Quintanilla, the sister of the late Tejano superstar, was in the audience and captured some of it on her phone.

“Awww this makes me wanna shed a tear! Takes me back,” Quintanilla posted on Instagram. “A Big Big Thank you @spaceykacey for the love at the Houston Rodeo tonite with that SELENA Y LOS DINOS Jam!”

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo runs through March 17 and includes performances by Luke Bryan, Cardi B, Panic! At The Disco, and Camila Cabello.
