MORRISON, CO (CelebrityAccess) — Country folk and blues legend John Prine was forced to postpone a handful of upcoming concerts, including a show at Red Rocks due to health issues.
Prine was scheduled to perform at the iconic amphitheater with the Colorado Symphony and special guest I’m With Her on July 28th but rescheduled the show while he undergoes surgery to address a stroke risk.
“In consultation with his doctors, John has been advised that he has an elevated risk for a stroke. He will have surgery this week to insert a stent which will remedy the issue,” a statement from promoter AEG Presents said.
“He looks forward to a full and speedy recovery,” the statement added.
Prine and company have already rescheduled the Red Rocks performance, which will now take place on September 18th. All original tickets will remain valid, or refunds can be obtained from the original point of purchase, AEG Presents said.

August 9 – Jack Singer PAC Calgary, AB
August 11- Edmonton Folk Festival – Edmonton, AB
As of yet, the Red Rocks concert is the only performance with a confirmed rescheduled date.
