CALIFORNIA (CelebrityAccess) – The North American Concert Promoters Association (NACPA) has announced that former CelebrityAcces senior editor Joe Reinartz and Linda Moody will be joining NACPA, effective Dec. 1.

Reinartz and Moody will be assuming the roles of Executive Director and executive assistant upon the retirement of longtime NACPA executives Cynthia Wallace and Ben Liss in 2020.

Moody has worked with Reinartz for a decade and both will be based out of Fresno, California.

“There will be an extended period of transition as there is a great deal for Joe and Linda to learn about NACPA – our systems, procedures and long history,” Liss and Wallace said in a statement to NACPA members. “We will remain with NACPA ….through this summer. During the coming months, we will work closely with Joe and Linda to coordinate a smooth transition in their assumption of our responsibilities.”

“We have known Joe for many years – as have a number of NACPA members – and have found him to be honorable, sensible and now excited about the new challenges he will have leading NACPA. Joe’s skill set includes strong communication and organizational skills,” according to the memo.

Reinartz’s background is in music business journalism. Having run the news department at Pollstar, he has followed the NACPA’s operations since the mid-’90s. Additionally, he worked with NACPA on its Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Oral History Project, interviewing William Morris agent Dick Alen for the hall’s archives. Most recently he served as Sr. Editor here at CelebrityAccess.

“I am obviously excited about the upcoming challenges as executive director of NACPA,” said Reinartz. “However, I wish to stress that, as I acclimate to the position, my fealty is to the Board and to the members of the Association and will serve them to the best of my ability.”

The CelebrityAccess team would like to wish Joe all the best in his new role and future endeavors.
