JAPAN (CelebrityAccess) –A Japanese television network has cancelled a performance by global K-pop sensations BTS following allegations that one of the group’s members was seen in a photo wearing a t-shirt that appeared to show a mushroom cloud over the city of Nagasaki.

The t-shirt in question, which also featured the phrase “Patriotism Our History Liberation Korea” repeated across it several times, was allegedly worn by BTS band member Jimin back in 2013, according to local media outlets.

The septet was scheduled to perform on TV Asahi’s Music Station tonight (Nov. 9), however, the station issued a statement indicating that it had reached out to the group’s label regarding the shirt and that it wouldn’t be airing the BTS segment as a result.

The statement went on to say: “We deeply apologize to the viewers who were looking forward to their performance.”

BTS’ label, Big Hit Entertainment, has not issued any comment.
