J. Patrick Named Programming Director At Nashville’s WSM

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CelebrityAccess) — 650 AM WSM, the iconic Nashville radio station that helped to bring country music to a wider audience, has named radio veteran and area native J. Patrick as programming director.

With more than 2 decades of experience in the radio broadcasting industry, Patrick has held roles at numerous radio stations in the Nashville market, including most recently as the Digital Program Director at WSM.

He’s also served in Patrick held broadcasting positions at Cumulus Media, Clear Channel Media+Entertainment, and served as producer for multiple nationally syndicated shows. He started his career at WDKN in Dickson, Tenn.

“It’s an amazing time to be part of the Opry Entertainment family and it’s humbling to be at the helm of programming one of the most important radio brands in history,” said Patrick, WSM Program Director. “I look forward to continuing my work with the incredible WSM team as we continue to expand and enrich the WSM listener experience.”

650 AM WSM is a 50,000-watt station that has broadcast country music in the market for almost 100 years with shows such as Coffee, Country, and Cody and The Eddie Stubbs Show, hosted by Country Radio Hall of Fame personalities Bill Cody and Eddie Stubbs.

As well, the station has ex expanded its offerings to include direct-to-consumer content such as its podcast Building Nashville, and digital streaming shows such as Route 650 and Opry Nashville via it’s digital station wsmonline.com.
