CITY OF SOUTH FULTON, Ga. (CelebrityAccess) — Police in South Fulton arrested two men for allegedly staging a large rodeo and concert without permits.

According to Atlanta’s Fox Five, police were called to Rancho El Paraiso on Saturday after receiving multiple noise complaints from nearby residents where the found the concert and rodeo to be in full swing.

Police told Fox Five that more than 2,000 people were in attendance at the event, which featured the Mexican band Banda El Recodo and and Mexican banda singer El Coyote, according to the listing for the event on Bandsintown.

The rodeo was advertised online as the ranch’s grand opening, according to the Atlana Journal-Constitution.

“It’s sad when you can’t even get home,” one resident who got snarled in traffic from the concert told Fox 5. “My concern is that that area over there has become an event center. If you’re going to rent it out as an event center, it needs to coded for event centers. You need to be aware that you have residents who live over here who need to get home; they need to go to work.”

police alleged that 38-year-old Robert Figuero and 35-year-old Jorge Maciel failed to obtain a permit to host either the rodeo and concert, and allege that they also did not obtain a permit to serve alcohol at the event.

Police told Fox 5 that the concert was a substantial drain on resources for the department.

“The South Fulton Police Department received a number of complaints regarding this incident and we are proud of how our men and women responded to resolve this matter quickly,” police cheif Keith Meadows said in a statement. “This is another example of how an effective partnership between the community and law enforcement working together can ensure South Fulton is a safer, stronger city.”
