Gatecrasher Video From Lollapalooza Goes Viral

CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) — A video showing a large group of people storming the fence at Lollapalooza on Friday went viral.

The video, posted to Twitter (and later removed) by photographer Jeremy Cohen, showed a large group of people clambering over a low security fence at the perimeter of the festival, before knocking a portion of it over.

Police said at least fifty people bypassed the fence, but according to Chicago’s WGN, none were able to enter the festival. In the video, it appears as if they may have been blocked by a second security fence beyond the first.

However, in the video, only one man, a fellow with a prosthetic leg, appears to be intercepted by a police officer.

According to WGN, there were reports that the gate crash was not spontaneous and had been organized ahead of time via social media.

Several workers secured the fencing following the intrusion attempt, WGN reported.

While there are multiple copies of the video circulating, we opted not to publish it after the creator removed it from his social media feed.
